The countdown has started! I have a little over two months until I leave for Spain to begin my Fulbright experience! And I have a LOT left to do!
While in Spain, I will be working as an English Teaching Assistant in an elementary school in Alicante, Spain. I'm glad that I'll be working with elementary schools students because I have more experience working with that age group. Furthermore, I'm hoping that I can set up some sort of pen pal system between a classroom at my sister's school and a classroom at my host school.
I'm so excited that I will be working in a part of Spain that I've never had the chance to visit. Since I'll be there for a whole school year, I'll be able to participate in some of the special regional festivals--such as Las Fallas. I'll also be on the Mediterranean coast! Which means, that I'll definitely have to spend some time at the beach!
Until then, I need to get all my documents ready so I can go to the Spanish Consulate in Chicago to apply for my visa!
